Goal:
This document is to serve as a guide to helping faculty and staff more fully use the the built-in email system that is part of the Lewis County C-1School District's E-Mail Server with the Endymion Webmail System.

Step 1: Login Process
This is accomplished by going to the main web page at http://lewis.k12.mo.us and clicking on Webmail Access. You will then need to enter your username and password that has been assigned to you followed by clicking on login.

Step 2: Create the E-mail Message

The second step in sending an attachment using this system is to go ahead and compose a new message just as you normally would. After you have included the recipient, subject and body of the message scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Here you will find a button marked browse that will allow you to browse your hard drive to find the file to include as an attachment. Click browse before proceding to the next step.

Step 3: Send the Message

After you have clicked Browse, the screen shown above will be displayed you now need to locate the file that you want to send. The best recommendation is to put the files temporarily on your desktop or in one area that you will be able to find quickly. When the correct file has been located simply click once on it and then click Open.

After you have clicked on Open you can now click the Send button to send the e-mail message and its attachment. The server should respond after several seconds and tell you that the message has been sent.

The different ways to send attachments on e-mail has many variations, but in most cases the method described above will cover many different web-based systems. Programs such as Outlook Express, Eudora, and Outlook automate many of these steps, but you still have to be able to locate the files to send.
