Our land composed of variety types of land: hardwoods, bottom land, open fields and high ridges. The area provides great opportunities for both long and short range shot.

Hunting pressure in the area is very low. We restrict the number of hunters on our private properties to maintain a healthy game population.

Dear Prospective Hunter:
As a retired guide and outfitter who has guided Maine, Alaska, Quebec and managed hunting camps in these areas and the Arctic Islands, I now enjoy hunting myself and finally being able to pull the trigger on my own game. Each year I select a few areas to hunt that will, not only, offer me a unique hunting experience; but will give me the opportunity to be in the outdoors where "real trophies" exist. I met Jason Gower in 2004 and sensed a "burning' in him to put his hunters onto trophy ( 160 B&C to 200+ B&C) deer. I booked to hunt with him for opening day of the 2005 season. Jason took me to the leased farm that I'd be hunting and showed me the large elevated blind from which I'd be hunting. I was pleasantly suprised by the excellent location and quality of this blind. On opening morning, after seeing several bucks, I harvested a mature 8 point. Although I was estatic about my kill, I got the feeling from Jason that I should have waited a bit longer for "Mr Big". My feeling was correct as it wasn't long until I was able to see examples of just what kind of whitetails this section of Missouri can produce.
Life is short and I do not usually hunt the same area more than once, however, I truly see the potential these farms that Jason leases have and I've already booked for the 2006 season.
Jason offers quality hunting set-ups for quality deer at a reasonable cost. He scouts the areas to be hunted ahead of time and offers an honestly good hunt. Although he offers tents near his home, I chose to stay in my truck camper right on the farm from which I was hunting and this worked out well. Another friend plans to hunt from a local motel and we both will take our meals from a local restuarant with good food.
