Tournament Tidbits

Patriot Games is the Initial Independent Grand Tournament for Warhammer 40K in the United States.  We have carefully orchestrated a format similar to the Games Workshop format, with some major  differences.  We will be using all the standard rules in the Warhammer 40K rulebook, as well as Imperial Armor, with the exception of Super Heavy Tanks and Flyers. 

Over a 2 day period, beginning on Saturday morning, and ending Sunday afternoon, participants will be competing in 5 games.  There will be numerous tables with fabulous scenery, as well as some very entertaining, original scenarios.  There will be quite a few prizes awarded, as well as trophies and bragging rights. 

Last year's overall winner, Josh Buchanan, will be dragging in from St. Louis to defend his title.  The Players' Choice winner, Jeff Lybbert will also be attending, as will award winning painter Jeanne Mitchell, with a brand new Tyranid army.  Team Stillwater and Team NWA have a serious challenge going on to see just who is the 40K best!  The Team competition is open to all, and there is a minimum of 5 players to compete.

Last year, Russell won the Saturday night Dreadnaught Arena, and he will be back to defend his title this year.  Entries for this event are wide open, and any type of Walker is eligible.  There will be prizes awarded for the overall winner of the arena, as well as for the best looking Dread!

On August 19, at T Shirt Explosion, we will be having the Traditional Friday Night Bash at the Shop! All tournament entries are invited, and we will be serving Adult Beverages as well as ordering some Pizza.  Discounts on merchandise will be offered, and pick-up games will be happening all day Friday.
